Giant stingray found and photographed live in Thailand

Zeb Hogan is an American biologist on the hunt for the world’s largest freshwater fish. He and British angler Rick Humphreys, along with a team of National Geographic videographers and photographers, are attempting to document the search for such a fish.
On April 1, 2008, Zeb and his team captured a very large stingray near the coast of Thailand.
Known scientifically as the Himantura chaophraya, the giant stingray shown above is just one of several large species found on the Megafish project sponsored by National Geographic.
