This pisses me off when I can’t tell how long I need to wait for a video to finish uploading to YouTube. For all I know, “several minutes” (according to YouTube) can mean anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour. I know that larger videos take longer to upload, but I like to know how my upload is going.
Is this really that hard to do?
have you tried uploading on vimeo? it is the greatest. the end.

I just noticed: YouTube has one now! It says how much has been uploaded and gives the progress as a percentage! This is great!

Nowhere. It’s been removed, presumably because people at YouTube are sadists who hate all humanity.
