Sydney Orchestra faked it during the Sydney 2000 Olympics

Sooner or later, the truth will make itself known. And in the case of the Sydney 2000 Olympic games, the truth is that the Sydney Orchestra mimed and faked portions of the opening ceremony.

The real kick in the nuts (at least for Sydney) is that the recording that was heard over the wonderful acting Sydney Orchestra was actually that of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Yikes.

This news comes just a few weeks after it was made public that China used a body double when a little girl sang the Chinese National Anthem during the Beijing 2008 opening ceremony. Oops.
