Blackberry Bold is maybe, possibly, probably arriving Sept. 12
Rumor at the moment is that the Blackberry Bold will finally hit US markets on September 12, 2008 for AT&T. I really want to know what is taking RIM so long to release this phone in the US. Are our cellular networks not capable of handling this awesome smartphone? Or is there some sort of stupid corporate red tape divide that keeps this phone from coming to what is reportedly RIM’s largest market.
I watched all summer as the release date for this phone got pushed back from end of July, to early August, to mid-August, to end of August, and then to September 12. At this point, I really wouldn’t be surprised if this phone gets released at Christmas time.
Can this be any later? The whole world (minus the US) has already got this phone up and running.
UPDATE: Ok, Crackberry says “if you’re in the USA waiting for the Bold to come to AT&T, don’t be mad, be GLAD” because apparently there are some kinks with the web browser at certain settings. Hopefully these will be fixed by September 12.
