Blackberry Bold will not be launching in US markets after all

Sources close to RIM are saying that the Blackberry 9000 (known as the Blackberry Bold) is being held from the US market because it doesn’t quite hold up to the expectations of business professionals in product tests. While the launched of the Bold has been rather successful in other international markets, RIM is disappointed in the delay of the product release and hoping to forgo the launch of the Bold altogether in the US in order to “make room for a better product”.

This news comes just 1 day after some AT&T employees were spreading rumors of a September 12th launch date for the device while others were saying that it would launch on October 2nd.

Well, it was nice knowing ya, Bold. I guess you were never meant to be in American hands.

Even though I have my money that it’s going to be delayed until forever, I’m pretty sure the US will be getting the Bold sooner or later. There was only one small mention of a better BB device and it was a rumor of a 3G Javelin with the model number 9220. Personally, I’m waiting for the Javelin :)
