Read the entire Google Chrome comic

For those who haven’t heard, Google made a huge announcement today by releasing an open-source web browser to the [Windows] masses.

I had the opportunity to test the new web browser called Google Chrome and it’s definitely simple and fast. The browser is based off of the previous work from the teams behind WebKit and Mozilla (the foundation that handles Firefox and Thunderbird). The browser is unique in maintaining separate processes for everything that happens within the browser window. This leads to a much faster browsing experience and a more stable environment for individual web pages — if one tab crashes, the rest of your tabs in the browser are safe and still usable.

The comic that the Google Chrome team released does a very good job at explaining in layman’s terms just how incredible this new browser from Google really is. Go over to the Google Chrome website and read about it now, and then download it and test it out if you’re on a Windows machine (Mac and Linux users can sign up to be notified of when their versions will be released).

All in all, I am quite impressed with Google Chrome.
