New York City in relation to other State populations

This map of New York City’s 5 boroughs shows each county of New York City as the State with the closest equivalent population. Manhattan has a population close to Idaho; Queens is like New Mexico; Brooklyn is Nevada; The Bronx is about the size of Maine; and Staten Island is Wyoming. [via]

This map was compiled using US census statistics from 2006.

Funny thing is, sometimes I actually do think of Staten Island as Wyoming.
