Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 Macro

I just shot with this lens today and I thoroughly enjoyed its versatility and incredible sharpness. I especially love that I can switch to macro mode instantly and shoot objects that are literally millimeters away from the front glass. That’s incredible closeness in a wide-zoom lens. I just cannot get over how sharp this lens is.
Anyway, after using it, I went home and looked it up online to see how much it costs, and to my surprise, this lens is totally affordable. It’s MSRP is $610, but it’s selling at most places for less than $400. At that price point, this lens just shot straight up to #1 in my mental lens-likability list. Highly recommended!
Update: Oh yeah, this lens also comes in a newer version with an HSM drive. It costs the same.
