Election night photos on Flickr from Obama’s personal photographer

2008 November 7

In another show of how tech-savvy and connected the next administration might be, President-elect Barack Obama’s personal photographer uploaded many intimate images of Obama and some of his campaign staff on election night to Flickr rather than to a mainstream media outlet.

According to Lost Remote, the popularity of the images subsequently caused the crash of Flickr. This next President sure is popular.

I’m really excited to see how Obama’s administration will make information government information more accessible to the masses via the internet. So far, I feel like he’s already doing a pretty good job.

Goodness me, that’s one hell of a flickr set! Some of the photos are great, there’s a particularly poignant one of barack and his mother as they watch the election coverage on the box. Thanks herman!
