infoMania just tipped me off to this funny slip-up by CNN anchor Rick Sanchez where he says “Welcome black” instead of “Welcome back” after the show resumed from commercial break.
The next day, Rick Sanchez clarified his mistake by saying that he tripped over two words in a sentence that was supposed to read “Welcome back, let’s check the blogs” (back + blog).
Anyway, I think it was a pretty funny slip. I remember watching Rick Sanchez on WSVN-7 in Miami, FL when I was younger and it still takes me by surprise a bit when I see him anchoring for CNN rather than “Channel 7″.
I thought it was funny that he mentioned only gay blogs in his day-after response. Is that what he reads? Does he read nothing else?
