808’s and Heartbreak isn’t that great

As I’ve mentioned previously, Kanye West’s upcoming album 808’s and Heartbreak was leaked and I’ve had the opportunity to give it a chance and quite frankly it’s different than his previous music material.

If you’re a big fan of that electronic-synthesized singing voice, then you’ll love this album. But honestly, if you’re looking for more of that signature Kanye West rapping style, then you’ll be left out in the cold because honestly, he doesn’t do much of it on this album. He just sings and sings…with that highly synthesized voice effect and it’s more than annoying.

But yeah, I’m not even going to link this album because I don’t want to subject any of you to this music. That voice effect he uses on EVERY TRACK makes me group him with bubblegum pop. That’s just not what I would want to think about when I think about Kanye West.

def something new here for kanye and yeah if you’re accustomed to kanye rapping don’t expect much from this album

he took a brand new perspective into making this album. it’s more deep and emotional with the sounds of the 808s and autotone
i think this album is cool, not the best he’s relased of course but it’s something i can listen to

but he will released another rap album in june for the ppl that hate this one! =)

I def hate the direction Kanye has gone with this album too. I guess his goal is to be the #1 Artist so that means pop, and this is the way for him to do it.

Agreed. Got a press copy yesterday @ work and I have to admit…it’s not what you’re looking for if you’re into original Kanye.
It was really surprising that he got rid of his little skits that are normally on the album… not that I liked them at all but I expected them.
