One of the great things about working in Columbus Circle is that I am literally only a block and half away from the Museum of Arts & Design (you know, the former “Lollipop Building” that now has a big H on it).
The MAD Store stocks a bunch of quirky items at a somewhat reasonable price (that is, if you steer clear of the household items). Funny thing is, I’ve never even been to the actual museum part, though I intend to one day. For now, the store will suffice in giving me a dose of inspiration.
By the way, you should really have a look at Pentagram’s design process in designing the new logo for the Museum of Arts & Design. Very interesting how they came to their final decisions on the look and feel of the typeface/logo.

The museum itself isn’t too bad either.
Loves it. Does it just say NYC is “mad”? I need one.
