Turn ordinary fire into color fire

With just a bit of magic powder, you can turn an ordinary fire into a fire bursting with colors! [via]

This reminds me of those logs that changed the color of the locomotive steam in Back To The Future 3.

Anyway, I wonder if this would be bad for barbecues. Do you think it would change the taste of the things on the grill?

You never burned metals or different elements in chemistry? Not really “magic powder.” Hahaha. I remember copper turning fire blue-green and magnesium turning it white. I forgot the other ones that turn fire magenta or bright orange.

By the way, that link says not to use colored fire for any type of cooking.
