LightSpeed: Point of Sale system for Mac computers

I don’t own a personal business (or any business for that matter), but if I did, I’d probably want to try out LightSpeed, a full-fledged point-of-sale (POS) system that runs on Mac operating systems. I saw it in use at Alphabets NYC and I was just so impressed by the way it looked and how simple it all seemed. It made the POS system I used at Pacific Brands seem like a maze.

Lightspeed features an iTunes-like interface for everything you could organize in a store. From employee profiles to inventory, to creating barcodes and managing stock at different stores, Lightspeed does it all without sacrificing usability or skimping on looks. Everything in this POS application is color-coded for instant recognization, and if that’s not enough, it also features Cover Flow technology to allow the user to visually see all the items in the store.

And if you want to move your business online, Lightspeed has options and templates for you to do that easily as well based on the items in your inventory. No need to hire someone to develop a store for you, Lightspeed handles it all for you, allowing you to manage both online sales as easily as in-store ones. I’m just so impressed with this app and I’ve never even played with it. From the looks alone, I know this is a winner.

(Now, let’s see if this gallery works as it should)
