I’ve always thought this about the Subway station at Lexington Ave and 63rd Street along the F line, and this video confirms it. It really is the deepest platform below street level. I’d love to know what’s behind those walls in between the street and the platform. I always imagine that there would be hidden secrets or something behind there.

It is one of the deepest, if you want deep, hop on the 1 train at 168th street… how deep? lets just say that you HAVE to take an elevator to get down there. But the DEEPEST subway station is offically 191st street, also elevator access or a ginormously long passageway.
Behind the walls… theres hidden bunkers… ha no, its mostly communication rooms and equipment rooms.
