Google Chrome coming to Mac in early 2009

According to CNET, Google is hoping to release a Mac version of their super-duper-awesome Chrome web browser sometime in the first half of 2009. This is a pretty wide window, but I’m hoping that this really means “first-quarter 2009″.

Google’s Chrome browser is the one app I wish for on my Mac that has yet to be made available for Apple’s OS. I find it incredibly annoying that companies these days still develop and release applications for only one operating system at a time. If I had my way, I’d make it a rule that every single internet-related application must be made available on both PC and Mac on launch date. Having either one, whether it’s only PC or only Mac, is really retarded.
