Do any of my readers use the FastMac MacBook Pro extended battery? At $100, it’s cheaper than the OEM Apple battery replacement and holds more juice than the original battery. I don’t need one at the moment, but I’m afraid that as my MacBook Pro gets older and outdated, that companies like FastMac will stop producing these extended batteries.
Also, it’d be nice if FastMac gave an average of how much more power this extended battery provides.
I have the fastmac battery, and I’d say i gets about 10-15% more power than the regular macbook pro battery.
I ordered the battery in late July, got an email mid September saying it was delayed. It’s now October 22 and I’m trying to figure out how to cancel my order since it _still_ hasn’t been shipped. It’s probably a great battery if you can get it… but I’m sure it’s not worth a 3 month wait.
