According to Nice Kicks, Nike is re-releasing the classic Cortez in red, white, and blue this year (it’s already available in select retailers for a premium). This colorway is the same one worn by Forrest Gump in…Forrest Gump.
I never particularly liked the design of the Cortez sneaker, but something about these in my favorite color combination really draws me in. It doesn’t mean I’ll buy them (I probably won’t), but at least it does away with some of the hate that I have for them. If you’re wearing these particular ones, you’re good in my book.
