Thomas just sent me this video of how bacon is made and I couldn’t be more grossed out. I’ve never been a huge fan of bacon although I’ll eat it if it’s in front of me. I think the whole idea of bacon being leftover pig meat blasted with fake flavoring is just gross enough for me to really steer clear of it as much as possible.
America seems to be on a bacon binge lately with all the bacon-related recipes floating around, but I honestly cannot think of any recipe more ill-conceived than those that involved smothering bacon all over something else.

this process simplifies what seems to be an extremely labor-intensive process. how on earth did they do this back in the day?!
