Turning Northwest Airlines into Delta Air Lines

January 27, 2009 @ 12:53 pm

First off, there isn’t a typo in the headline. Northwest and Delta use two different spellings for “airlines/air lines”. Ok, now that that is out of the way, I’d like to share this time-lapse video of a 747 Northwest Airlines jet being transformed to match the rest of the Delta fleet.

Core77 says it’ll take Delta about 2 years and 40,000 gallons of paint to turn all newly-acquired NWA planes into Delta planes (Delta acquired Northwest Airlines back in October 2008).
