This has been bothering me for a very long time and it’s finally gotten to the point where I want to throw my Mac out the window. Why in God’s name is there no option to sort the files in Trash by date deleted?!
It’s just ridiculous for this option not to be available in the Trash folder.

Seriously, and this oversight has been present in every version of OS X. Why are there not more complaints? And before other people respond, sort by “Date Modified” IS NOT the same thing.
I hate it. It’s very important option. I need sort the files in Trash by date deleted. Apple do it something!!!
I am a new Mac user (summer 08′). Switched from XP (hate Vista) and have also used Ubuntu over the past 2 years.
There is some seriously simple stuff that Apple has missed with leopard.
This is one of them. Also why can I not restore an item from trash to the location it was deleted from.
Another one is “Why can’t I resize a bloody window from anywhere on the Window??? I like Ubuntu’s implementation of this the best but Apple’s sucks the most.
Also why can’t we copy the path of an item in Finder?
Also why can’t we have the program menu in the window? (On a big screen this sucks). Apple, if you want to suck options out of your OS then Ubuntu will just kill you faster.
Also why can I not kill the bloody dock or change it’s activation speed? I hate the dock now that we have quicksilver? Seriously, who uses the dock when they have quicksilver?
Also why is there not an option to minimize all and show all with keyboard? Like windows key+d on XP?
This list goes on and on with silly stuff that is just common sense. This last one is why can I not sort by date deleted in Finder? Seriously, this is LAME. Quit it, you act like a little child Apple. Your tech support is the most incompetent support I have ever talked to as well. Yeah I talked to your management about it, they didn’t seem to care much, neither did the sales person who sold me this $5,000 machine.
Ubuntu for the Win!
that there aren’t more complaints about this surprises me. Another one is the “Cut / Paste” in the finder window, and the way mac users will defend the OS is just nuts. As if the problem is with what the user is doing.
So… did anybody figure out a way to make a smart folder of the trash or something like that?
