If you stand at the foot of the Doze bed, you would probably think that the bed was floating in mid-air. But upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that the Doze is being held up completely at the opposite base by its solid wood structure. It doesn’t say it anywhere on the website, but I’m sure there must be a way of securing the bed into the floor. I don’t see how else the bed can stay “afloat” without such a mechanism.
Furniture Fashion says the bed is available in twin, full, queen, and king sizes in a variety of woods including Beech, Oak, Maple, American Cherry, or American Walnut. No idea how much it costs, but if you’ve got dough to blow, you can bet a good chunk of it will be lost purchasing this sleeper.

I looked into getting this bed when I moved into my apt a year ago. Alas, out of my price range.
The method used to give this bed it’s floating appearence is actually much simpler than you think. It has a second support to the end of the bed but it just doesn’t extend to the sides.
Look here for a drawing or even better, check out the assembly instructions on the same page.

Maybe I didn’t explain it well enough…:
The second support -is- connected to both sides, but the part that sticks out below the sides, is cut off at both sides.
It’s harder to explain than to visualize…
Cool bed, I want 1 init lol (I understand BTW)
