infoMania’s Ben Hoffman gets an exclusive interview with the most famous boobs on YouTube. If you ever look at YouTube’s top video section, you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about.
Yes, I’m talking about Marina Orlova, otherwise known as the big-breasted woman on HotForWords. Marina posts videos almost daily of vocabulary lessons and admits to using her big chest as a tool to draw in viewers.
As you’ll hear from the interview above, Marina actually does all of her video work and production herself, which is pretty impressive. No wonder she has no time to go out or entertain a boyfriend.
ComicConnect has exclusive images of the very rare unrestored first issue of the 1938 Action Comics (the same issue that introduced Superman to the world) on their website.
As you already know from yesterday’s post, this particular issue up for auction is special because it is one of the few remaining copies of the issue that introduced Superman. And not only is it rare, it is also unrestored, whereas most of the other ones known to exist have been artificially retouched and restored. According to comic collector Stephen Fishler, this is the “holy grail” of comic books, so that gives you a sense of how unique this item is.
At the moment, the price is currently at $200,200 with 36 bids. Bidding ends at 7PM on March 13, 2009 and some say the issue could reach a selling price of up to $400,000.
Check out the gallery below of the actual comic book for sale and see the astonishing quality for yourself.
Discovery News sent two correspondents to the Gore laboratories to see how Gore-Tex fabrics are tested with some very advanced weather-simulation machines. The weather chambers at Gore can practically simulate any real-world weather condition from extreme heat to extreme cold.
The purpose of the visit was to better understand how Gore keeps people comfortable in extreme weather, that way the two Discovery News correspondents will be prepared to handle Alaska’s climate when they head there next week to film.
Their labs remind me a lot of the Good Housekeeping testing center at the Hearst Tower in New York City.
Today’s big news headline was the closing of the Rocky Mountain News, an almost-150-year news establishment and Denver, Colorado’s oldest continually operating business. The news didn’t hit me particularly hard because I don’t live in Denver nor do I ever read the Rocky Mountain News. But after hearing all about the historic newspaper’s final print edition, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful front page they had printed.
The final front page pays homage to the beginnings of the Rocky Mountain News, bringing back the old 1859 typeface side-by-side with a more modern look in the center. In terms of writing and designing one’s own eulogy in print, the Rocky Mountain News certainly did a very good job with it. What a lovely, albeit tragic, way to go out.
Brand New School is responsible for this delightful Toyota RAV4 commercial called “Fold Out”. As you might guess, the name comes from the various expanding features of the Toyota RAV4 and Brand New School illustrates this with a wonderful set of accordion-like environments and places.
Totally Robot is obsessed with all things robotic and thus posts wonderful drawings, crafts, creations, and videos of anything to do with robots. I’m pretty much going to call it a day and waste the rest of my late afternoon on this site.
