I saw NYC Councilman John Liu in Chinatown yesterday with a bunch of other city officials leaving the Chinese New Year festivities. It was nice to see him in person after so many years of seeing him on TV. He seemed very friendly and I got the sense that the people in the Chinatown community really looked up to him and respected him for what he’s done for New York and the Asian community in general.
