This is by far the most awesome picture I’ve ever seen of Joseph “Joe” Ades, the curious and interesting old man who sold potato peelers on New York City streets for over 60 years.

Hey Dooby! I’ve been following your blog via rss for some time now and I really enjoy the variety of things you put out here. Anyway, I never heard the amazing story about Joe until last fall on Today or some other show. I’m sorry to hear he died. He sounded like a man that worked hard and earned every penny he had. Not many like him left in this world.
