Those of you reading this who grew up already having a broadband internet connection will most likely not relate, but I remeber the days when I was on a dial-up connection and streaks of color would cascade down an image because I didn’t wait for it to load correctly. Apparently, artist Richard Hutten remembers this very fondly as well and he created this rug in the likeness of an image that did not load properly; it is called Playing With Tradition.

Anyway, this same effect is actually quite easy to reproduce in Photoshop, so I wish there were more shots floating around of this rug so I can get a better view and resist the urge to think that this is just some nice photo manipulation.
