April 5th is the magical day to keep in mind if you want to upgrade that aging regular DS that you have. The unit will be $170 USD which puts it pretty much in line with the same cost as a first-generation PSP but with a gazillon times more fun.
Nintendo however is only releasing it in the US in black (shown above) and blue. No white unit will be available in the US, so if you want a white one, you’ll have to import it from Japan. Bummer.
The DSi comes with two VGA cameras (one on the outside and one on the inside) and an SD card slot for extra storage. The gaming device also comes with a larger screen than its predecessor, improved sound, and a much improved power button (in my opinion). I want to upgrade!
