I saw Andreas Gefeller’s work at the Hasted Hunt gallery in 2007 (yep, I even posted about it) and I was just as amazed then as I am now with his work, particularly his Supervisions series.
Since 2005, Gefeller has been making aerial view photographs of spaces and places to allow the viewer of his work an unparalleled take on an environment that is hardly seen by anybody. He has some of his work available to view on his website.
Just this past Thursday, Hasted Hunt Gallery in Chelsea put his work back on exhibition. It’s going to be at their 20th Street gallery until April 25th, so if you haven’t seen his work in person, you must! It’s absolutely stunning to see his photographs up close and so big. If you can’t make it to the gallery in that time, then check out his book on Amazon.com.
