Now that StarCraft II is available for pre-order, I’ve been looking at what real-life firebats might be like and damn are they scary.
There are tons and tons of videos of flamethrowers in action on YouTube, but these 4 posted here should pretty much cover the extent of damage a flamethrower can do. I didn’t know they could shoot so far. I can’t imagine how scary it must be to be attacked by a military using flamethrowers. Eeks.
considering the effective range of a regular gun, i doubt flamethrowers would be of too much of a threat in any standard far to medium range combat. a giant can of gasoline on your back doesnt make it seem that much more of an effective use of troops as well as resources.
you can actually buy flamethrowers, they’re legal to own.
