Remember that wallpaper I showed off last week with the Chinese babies? I didn’t say it at the time, but that image was taken from Chinese Propaganda Posters and let me tell you, it’s even funnier in print and up close.
Anyway, I am so thrilled about this book that I want to show you in pictures how the book is divided up. There are 17 major chapters in the book all based on a form of Chinese propaganda. Click the images in the gallery below to get a sense of how in-depth this book gets. If you’ve ever wondered why a certain generation of Chinese people have such strong attachment to their national identity, then this book pretty much sums it up for you in pictures. I’ve said it already, but this book is wonderful to go through!
I think I love this book because it really puts me back in the days of Chinese school when all of the illustrations in the textbooks had this same sort of feel.
