As you might already know from Google’s logo today, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To properly ring in the momentous occasion, Eric Carle sat down briefly to talk about how he came up with the idea and how he went about creating the artwork for it.
