    Actually, the button works exactly how Apple intends it to. It’s just very poorly named. It’s really an “optimal” resize button. It’s supposed to resize the page contents of the page for “optimal” viewing based on predefined parameters that says this is how the page should look. For websites or pages without such defined content parameters, the button will just obliterate the page like in your above example.

    I quote the word “optimal” because I think this is stupid, unpredictable, and arrogant. At least in windows, when you hit the button you know what to expect. But apparently Apple think they know how to manage your page contents better than you do.
