Michigan Central Station

The Michigan Central Station in Detroit is another structure like the Glenwood power plant that was built by the same people as Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Michigan Central Station has been abandoned in the heart of Detroit since the 1980′s and it has since become both a wonderful relic and an eye-sore in the city.

I feel like this building is calling me! Actually, the entire city of Detroit is calling me to go and book a trip now before it’s all completely gone. I’m looking at airfare now and it’s pretty cheap to go at the end of May and into June. Anybody up for a week of non-stop danger and excitement?

One Response to Michigan Central Station

Hey man, everyone goes to the train station. It stands in the middle of nothing, on the edge of Mexican town. If anything, you want to check out structures outside of Downtown, more on the East, like the giant Motor City Industrial Park at E Grand Blvd and Concord (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=e+grand+blvd+and+concord,+detroit,+mi&sll=42.378809,-83.027614&sspn=0.001496,0.002725&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=16&iwloc=addr&layer=c&cbll=42.378646,-83.026664&panoid=WmENre_3rn2bSd2sUMY_fg&cbp=12,248.47440944881904,,0,-14.48818897637795)
