Kevin Rose interviewed Trent Reznor for a Digg Dialogg and the Nine Inch Nails frontman actually delves pretty deeply into what he thinks is happening to the music business in terms of new technologies and the internet. I actually sat through all 40 minutes of the interview and realized just what a smart man Trent is when it comes to adopting new ideas to an aging music industry. Of course, not everything he touches becomes gold and he goes into some failures that he has come across over the years experimenting with the internet. But overall, I share many of the same ideas that Trent speaks of about music and the concept that music is inherently free and that the current business model now is doomed to failure.
