Abisko Washbasin

Look at this beautiful washbasin from the Eumar Washbasin Factory. It is sculpted as one single piece of cast marble and allows water to flow like it would in a natural mountain spring or waterfall. The design of the sink itself requires no drainage pipes which allows the form to remain slender and sleek. Instead of traditional pipes, the Abisko Washbasin lets water run into a ground drain.

I kinda wonder if installing a sink like this in public bathrooms would increase the chance of people washing their hands after using the toilet…you know, just to watch and see where the water goes.

the only problem I can see is if you put in the men’s room, we might think that the bottom part of it is supposed to be a urinal!

ya it’s totally a urinal. i’d feel like i was washing where people pee.

…beautiful… yes… aesthetically it’s not bad… but how bloody messy it really is. serves almost zero practicality …water would just splash everywhere and your ground would be sopping wet.
