Pentagram recently revealed the work they’ve done for the book Mannahatta: A Natural History of New York City and it really looks like it’s a good book.

The book, by Eric W. Sanderson, takes a look at what modern-day Manhattan would have looked like 400 years ago before the first settlers occupied the island. As you might recall, The New York Times used an image from this book in an article about the history and potential future of Manhattan island.

The book’s launch is also celebrated by an exhibition of the digital artwork over at the Museum of the City of New York opening May 20th. I’ll be there to check it out. For now, see some images of the book below.
