This is the Moonbird Lamp designed by Yukio Hashimoto for Japanese lighting manufacturer Yamagiwa. It’s such a beautiful and simple unit. Check out more pictures at Contemporist.

Yamagiwa makes some neat lights. I saw their Frank Lloyd Wright collection a few years ago, and I’ve really wanted something from that collection, but I definitely don’t have the means.
