I think one of the reasons why I can’t picture myself ever becoming a wedding photographer is because I don’t think I’d be able to hold a straight face if I had to take a picture of the happy couple “enjoying each other” in public. There’s always at least one of these photos in every engagement photo shoot and it always feels so awkward to look at them, so I can’t imagine how it must feel to be the person photographing it.
Otherwise, the rest of this set of photos from Todd Laffler are praise-worthy (as are most of his photos).
Perhaps you didn’t get the joke? They are mimicking the billboard behind them. Wasn’t sure if you got that or not. :) This isn’t meant to be a serious shot.
LOL! To be honest, i didn’t see that at first. but now i do! I feel sheepish! I just thought this picture illustrated what a lot of other photogs do often in wedding pictures. but you’re def still in my top 3 when I think of wedding photography, dont worry! :D
Just top 3!? I guess I have some more work to do then! lol, no worries, my wife didn’t notice the billboard people either.
Actually, now that I CAN see the people in the background i think this picture is pretty funny (hence the joke….but I’m lame and that’s why i didn’t get it). Haha.
