A very rare yellow lobster was recently caught off the coast of Canada and gifted to Nathan Nickerson, the owner of Arnold’s Lobster and Clam Bar in Eastham, Massachusetts.
The yellow lobster, which is both orange and yellow in color, is a rare genetic mutation that appears in only 1 in about 30 million lobsters and makes it appear as if the lobster has already been cooked. New England Aquarium director of research Michael Tlusty says that the lobsters bright color actually makes it an easy target for predators, so maybe this one shown here is lucky it was caught by a humans.
