Lots of people think a web browser is a search engine

A Google employee named Scott went to Times Square in NYC to ask random people on the street what a browser was. It turns out that a lot of people think a browser is a search engine. [via]

    Wow! People need to take the computer course 101. To be clear, a web browser is a software application that allows a user to display graphics and text, videos, pictures. A search engine is a program on the web, that searches and returns a list of documents based on specific keywords found in those documents (web pages).
