For those of you who have seen the movie District 9, you’ll instantly recognize this Arc Gun shown above which recently sold on eBay for $1445. Obviously, the gun is non-functional (I mean, you’d have to be alien to use it anyway) but it is an official movie prop used on the set of District 9. According to the eBay listing, this is currently the only District 9 movie prop up for auction. I hope it doesn’t stay that way though. I would love to see more of these props (specifically the guns) go up for bidding.
I realise this one isn’t a genuine movie replica but if you missed the chance to buy the original then perhaps this is a good replacement. I certainly don’t expect to sell for thousands of dollars anyway.
