Just came back from an amazing concert with Mat Kearney and Diane Birch at Irving Plaza. Solid playing all around and a beautiful stage and light setup on the part of Mat Kearney’s crew.
During the concert, Mat jumped down from the stage and literally hung out for a minute or two with the crowd. He was hugging everyone and just having a good time with the people there. In addition, it was my first time ever seeing NY-native Diane Birch in concert and she certainly blew me away with her voice — soulful and elegant is how I would describe her singing style.

little known fact: mat k’s guitarist, tyler burkum, use to be in the band audio adrenaline from wayyyy back in the day. love that man.
I saw them in Atlanta and was incredibly impressed. I was also curious if anyone knew what kind of stage lights those were ? both the cylindrical and the tall vertical ones. (mostly the cylindrical ones) I thought it was a great show overall and was blown away by how well lit everything was. and terrific music!
