Penguin Classics designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith

Penguin sent over two copies of the limited edition Penguin Classic covers illustrated by Coralie Bickford-Smith. I am currently holding Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and I have to say that they are two of the most beautiful books I’ve ever seen.

The two books above are part of a collection of 8 literature classics that will be going on sale starting October 27th. Each cover features a foil pattern stamped on linen cases with colored end papers and ribbon markers.

The other covers by Coralie Bickford-Smith, known for her illustrations in The Dangerous Book for Boys, can be seen on the following titles (all available from Penguin):

  • Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
  • Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
  • Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
  • Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

All 8 titles will be $20, but if you head on over to Amazon.com now and pre-order the books, you can get them each for $13. These are sure to spice up the visual appeal of your book shelf.
