Artist Walter Wick stacked 117 objects on top of a single Lego piece for the Kids Gallery of the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford. Wick took about a week to perfect the balancing act and in the end used small wind-up toys to knock down the tower.

James and Karla Murray unveiled this neat panorama of 66th Street station along the 1 Line in an upcoming project with Prestel Publishing and the MTA. Consumerist posted this nice short video of the demolition of a smokestack in Drexel, PA. The demolition took place on the morning of November 15, 2009 near the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.

Title says it all (I just wish there was a bit more information — ie: what type of bird, where this was filmed, how they estimated that number, etc.). Thanks Elin!
