Next month, AOL will start using the above logos to promote its brand as it gets spun-off from its current parent company Time Warner. The new logos are uninspiring and uninteresting to say the least. And that period is mind-boggling. How did that get past any sort of respectable committee? I never thought I’d say it, but I think I might miss the soon-to-be-gone AOL logo with the triangle.

why are they so…random?? what’s with the two on the bottom???
I’m trying to remember the purpose of AOL in today’s broadband arena. I mean, it certainly had it’s day and it failed to adapt.
AIM was the same way. I tried and tried to keep using it, but after gchat and Facebook Chat finally were around together- fewer people signed onto AIM. I used to have a hundred buddies, and now only two or three sign on regularly. I feel like part of my high school life died about two years ago. It’s hard to imagine it’s gone, but it is.
Y0u sure these are “Logo’s” and not just a marketing scheme? Either way they are atrocious!!
Wow, it takes bravery to use something like these.. I wonder how effective they will be.
