Duh… I’d open a bottle of Blue Brainwash… For those not in the know, it’s a cyberpunk soda with enough blue food coloring to turn your feces blue and enough jalapeño oil to make your eyes water.
So yeah, that’s a fun one.
I have a bottle of one of the world’s fowlest beer, coors’ aspen edge in my fridge, circa 2004 that i have been saving for just such an occassion as this!
if this were a month ago, i’d be using it to open Sam Adams Oktoberfest, but now i guess i’d use it for Sam Adams Winter Ale instead.
I would open a bottle of Shiner Bock. Brewed in Shiner, Tx. Really good stuff. I encourage you to try it if you’re a dark beer fan. If you’re more of a pale ale guy, try Shiner Blonde!

I would first purchase a Casio stop watch (with the neck lanyard) so I can time myself to see how long it would take for me to open the 6pk of Hoegaarden I would purchase from my local bodega from a man named Julio. Then, after jotting down the time it took on the mini spiral sketch pad and stolen Ikea pencil I carry, I would try to drink them faster than the recorded time. If I drink them faster, I would start blog and create a mass following of “Beat the Bottlemate” competitors. If I lose and the Bottlemate wins, I would drunkenly award it with a hand written certificate torn out of my trusty sketchpad.
