Driving a real-life loop-de-loop

Here’s a segment from a Fifth Gear episode from this past May where stunt-driver Steve Truglia successfully completed the world’s largest real-life loop-de-loop (or loop-the-loop).

I remember shoving numerous toy cars down ramps when I was younger and always wondering if the same traction would hold for a real vehicle. It turns out that there’s a lot of science behind it all, but if all goes perfectly well, a real loop-de-loop is in fact possible in a true-size car.
