If you’ve been following Doobybrain.com for a while, you’ll know that in the past year alone, I’ve transitioned between a trackpad (MBP), a Microsoft Bluetooth notebook mouse, and a Targus Bluetooth mouse. I’m very particular about my mice because it’s the precision tracking device I make use of most often during my time on the computer and I need it to be comfortable, functional, and customizable so that I can be fully productive while on the computer doing work (and updating Doobybrain.com of course).
So while all of my previous pointing devices have been great, each one has had its own little flaws that eventually build up to become a pretty big inconvenience to my hand. Specifically, I’m talking about shape and comfort level. For some reason, I just need a mouse that fits the contour of my palm — not just some device with enough buttons for all 5 of my fingers to call home.
The Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse is the mouse that fits all of my previous criteria exactly. It’s got the technology behind it — laser tracking — and 10 customizable buttons that allow me to assign different tasks to each button. It is also shaped exceptionally well for my hand which is great because that was the one thing that really stopped me from using my previous mice (the Microsoft one was too small, the Targus one was more or less like an Apple clone, so it sucked). And with the hyper-wheel scroll technology, scrolling through lots of Lightroom images at once is no longer a chore!
This mouse works on both Macs and PCs and is fully customizable and supported on both platforms. If you’re in the market for a new and powerful mouse, make it the Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse. Seriously, your hand will thank you!
Note: Just to clear things up, this mouse DOES have a scroll-wheel middle-click. The button behind the scroll wheel is to toggle between standard scroll-wheel functionality and hyper-scrolling.
