I recently converted my laptop computer into a desktop using the BookArc. Since then, I’ve made use of two very important hardware devices that I’ve come to absolutely love. One of them is the Logitech MX 1100 wireless laser mouse and the other is the Logitech diNovo keyboard Mac Edition.
Normally I consider most “Made for Mac” devices absolutely ridiculous, but for once, I’ve found a good reason to go Mac especially if you want standard Mac keyboard functionality without much hassle. The Logitech diNovo keyboard for Macs is an extremely low-profile device made to the exact specifications of the traditional Mac keyboard layout (with buttons dedicated to audio, media playback, Expose, Dashboard, and screen brightness) without making you use the horrid Apple keyboard with the rounded square keys. And as you can see, the diNovo keyboard is also a full-sized keyboard with num-pad on the right and standard-sized directional keys.
One of the awesome things about this keyboard is the 3-year battery life. It’s a pretty bold claim I have to say and I obviously cannot say at this point if it really does last 3 years on one battery change, but so far after using the keyboard every day for over a month, the meter is still FULL and I haven’t run into any problems yet.
The bottom of the keyboard is rubber padded to prevent the keyboard from slipping forward and backward on smooth surfaces and the weight of the keyboard itself makes sure that pounding on your desk won’t send the keyboard bouncing into the air. They keys are ultra-responsive and overall, this is one of the best non-Apple keyboards made specifically for the Mac that I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking to treat yourself this holiday season, make sure you look into getting a Logitech diNovo Mac Edition Keyboard (and as always, this makes a great gift as well for the Apple user in your life).
