Invisible shoes by Andreia Chaves

The Pipeline just posted images of these mind-boggling “invisible shoes” by South American shoe-designer Andreia Chaves. As you can see, the shoes are made with a faceted mirrored surface allowing the shoe to reflect different angles of the environment around it thus camouflaging itself with its surroundings.

Something tells me that a complete body suit made in the same fashion wouldn’t work quite the same way…

    Those images of the shoes would look a lot more invisible if the photographer didn’t use such a shallow depth of field. Our human eyes would see these a lot more invisible.
